SOWPODS and TWL are both international word lists. Usually, TWL is the choice for American and Canadian players while SOWPODS is preferred by players from all over the world. SOWPODS has a few more words than the TWL list and accepts some two letter words like JA, EA, ZO, et.
All players start with a rating of 1200. As you play games, your rating will change to reflect your skills. Higher ratings indicate stronger players. Please note that you win more points by defeating players who are rated higher than yourself.Your rating can never fall below 700. A rating of 1200 is indicates average strength.
In case your opponent disconnects when losing a game, you need not worry. Our automatic adjudication system awards you the win after a few days. It changes your rating accordingly and penalizes the quitter. In case the player got disconnected due to internet problems, you can resume the game once they are online.
Lexulous is great fun for 3 or 4 players too! Once you're in the lobby / game room, simply click on the NEW GAME option and set up a table for 3 or 4 players. Once you do that, other players in the lobby may take seats at your table. The game starts as soon as the number of required players join in. It's highly entertaining for family members meeting online!
If you wish to play Lexulous only with friends, go to the same room and match them. Alternatively, you can start playing games over emails with only the players you wish to play with.
